Information for participants

Here you can find various information regarding the meeting. The page will be regularly updated to include any new/relevant information.

Important notes for all participants

Members of the organizing committee will be wearing yellow badges. If you have any questions regarding the meeting etc. please consult one of them.


The entrance to the congress centre Portus where the meeting will take place is through Hotel Slovenija which is located at the main road through Portorož (address: Obala 33). Below is the Google Streetview of the entrance (click here to see the map):



Registration desk is located within the congress centre (thorugh the main door of Hotel Slovenija --> take the stairs to the right of the reception or the elevators --> through door of congress centre --> on the right).

It is mandatory that all participants, both active and passive, members of the meeting committees, and sponsors' representatives wear the meeting badge (given at the registration desk) in a visible manner during all conference events. The badges will be prepared only for the participants registered via the online registration system before the registration deadline.


For easy viewing and to be up-to-date with any last minute changes to the programme you are invited to subscribe to our shared calendar in your favourite calendar app. Please note that for changes to be syncronized you need to subscribe to the calendar, not just download&import the ics file.
For example, in Google Calendar use option "Add + > From URL" and copy&paste the link provided here, as described in the help. For other calendar apps, please consult the relevant instructions.

Abstracts of lectures and poster presentations are available in the Book of Abstracts (digital form only).

Conference meals

All special requests/requirements regarding the diet were forwarded to the hotel's kitchen so appropriate amount of food free of certain allergens etc. will be prepared. Since the meals will be of self-service type, participants with special dietary requirements are kindly asked to consult the hotel's personnel.

Please note that drinks during lunch are not covered by the conference fee as are not any drinks personally ordered in the hotel, even if ordered during social events. However, conference fee covers limited amount of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks during welcome and conference dinners.


Guidelines for active participants

Lectures and short presentations

Individual sections are generally divided into:

  • 2 invited lectures, each 25 min presentation + 5 min discussion
  • 3 short presentations, each 15 min presentation + 5 min discussion

All presenters are kindly asked to stay within the allotted timeframe.

Poster guidelines

Poster size should be close to A0 paper format (849 mm in width and 1189 mm in height).

The number assigned to your poster will be listed in the book of abstracts. Please, attach the poster to the correspondingly numbered stand. Materials for attaching the posters will be available at the stands or at the registration desk. (Presenting) Authors are responsible for attachment and removal of the posters.

Posters are expected to be on display from Wednesday (20 September) to Friday (22 September). There will be two poster sessions, in each approximately half of the posters will be presented.



Parking close to the meeting venue is very limited, therefore there is no free parking directly at the hotel. Participants arriving by private car can park at public parking spaces (fee!).

For guests of LifeClass hotels parking is available either on regular parking places (12 EUR per day), or in the garage (18 EUR per day). Please not that number of parking places is limited, i.e. not all guests will be able to park here.

Other option is to use parking at Vila Maria (address: Prečna pot 3a) that can be reached by driving behind the Hotel Riviera / Casino Riviera uphill, and then turning left. Here, the price is 1.2 EUR per hour or 18 EUR per day (ticket machine accepts banknotes of 5, 10 and 20 EUR).

Third option is to park directly at the main promenade. Price is 1.5 EUR per hour or 15 EUR for 10 hours or more (whole day). While this option seems the most attractive due to the vicinity of the meeting venue and the price, please be aware that only few such parking spaces are be available.
