Portorož
Portorož is located in the northern part of the Gulf of Piran and is known for tourism and wellness. The first report of wellness in Portorož dates back to the 13th century when the Benedictines from the nearby Monastery of St. Laurence began using salt water and mud from the salt pans to cure diseases. The town, with a bit less than 3000 residents, is most lively during the summer vacations when people visit it’s beaches. Still, you can enjoy the relaxing and healing sea water throughout the year in one of the hotels swimming pools located along the riviera. In Portorož, you will never run out of things to explore and experience, as there is a rich culinary and cultural offer and many opportunities for sports activities.
As described in Accommodation section, the meeting will take place in the convention centre Portus which is basically in the very centre of Portorož. Immediately adjacent to the convention centre are the LifeClass Hotels where rooms with special congress rate are available for participants.
